We are seeking an experienced Manager, IT Security to lead and strengthen cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. This role works closely with the Head of IT Services / CIO to oversee IT security operations, governance, and risk management while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

• Implement and monitor IT infrastructure and systems security controls to protect networks, servers, and enterprise applications
• Ensure compliance with organisational Information Security Policies, management standards, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee daily IT security operations, including incident monitoring, administration, and infrastructure security health checks
• Identify IT risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across the organisations technology infrastructure
• Investigate security incidents, analyse breaches or attempted breaches, and document incident reports with remediation plans
• Establish and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Conduct periodic reviews of security controls and recommend improvements to enhance information security posture
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to support security and compliance audits
• Drive continuous process improvements across security operations using KPIs and performance metrics
• Provide security advisory during system design and implementation for new technologies or applications
• Manage vulnerability and penetration testing programs, including reporting and remediation planning
• Report cybersecurity incidents, security metrics, and operational status to management on a weekly and monthly basis
• Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery simulations to ensure infrastructure and security readiness
• Deliver cybersecurity updates, audit reports, and security awareness briefings to management and staff

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in IT Security Technologies, IT General Controls, or IT Governance processes
• At least 3–5 years of experience managing IT security engineers or support teams
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing security technologies such as firewalls (L2/L3), IDS/IPS, NAC, WAF, VPN, VLAN, routing and switching
• Experience with security monitoring tools including SIEM, endpoint detection and response, content filtering, and vulnerability management solutions
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, SSH, LDAP, and IPSEC
• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks and governance standards such as ISO27001, NIST, and regulatory guidelines
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
• Ability to present technical security concepts in business-friendly language

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
• ITIL v4 Foundation or experience in Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management
