Accounting Specialist
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is primarily responsible for accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting using tools such as QuickBooks. The role also involves coordination with suppliers, a U.S.-based executive, and local banking partners, while ensuring compliance with both U.S. and Philippine tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary computation, deductions, and payouts
- Ensure payroll compliance with Philippine and U.S. tax regulations, including statutory requirements
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries and financial statements
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoice management and collections tracking
- Process invoices and coordinate with suppliers and external stakeholders
- Perform budget forecasting and support financial planning
- Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and reporting
- Collaborate with a U.S.-based executive on financial reporting and requirements
- Coordinate with local banking partners in Cebu for transactions, as needed
Qualifications
- Preferably someone from Cebu since this role requires local banking coordination.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and accounting functions
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Experience using a CRM system is an advantage
- Working knowledge of U.S. and Philippine tax and payroll regulations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
