Job type: Remote, full-time

Location: Remote, anywhere in the US, preferably in commuting distance of Fort Belvoir, VA or ability to travel to Fort Belvoir, VA when required.

We are seeking various levels of experienced Federal Financial Analyst to provide specialized support to the our client in the compilation, review, and publication of Agency Financial Reports (AFRs). This position will also support the intergovernmental eliminations process and contribute to the accurate presentation of the four primary financial statements. The role is remote, with occasional in-person meetings required at Fort Belvoir.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the clients Financial Reporting Division in preparing and documenting the AFR financial statements.
  • Apply knowledge of federal financial reporting processes to mitigate the risk of material misstatements and ensure accurate financial presentation.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Accounting to support the eliminations process for intra- and inter-governmental transactions.
  • Reconcile and standardize processes related to trading partner (TP) transactions to meet audit readiness and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in audit response and remediation activities, including corrective action planning and documentation.
  • Provide input and analysis to support internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Generate reports containing key data elements to validate pipeline data and facilitate trading partner reconciliations.

Education and Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is a requirement due to the nature of the contract, Active Secret Clearance strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, Communications, Government and Public Administration, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of experience with one or more of the following: Eliminations, AFR, Trading Partners, or Financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, federal internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with trading partner eliminations, reconciliations, and standardization of financial processes.
  • Experience with data tools such as DatabricksAdvanaQlik, and data clusters to support pipeline validation and trading partner eliminations strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.
