About the Role

SAF Helicópteros España is seeking a highly motivated and structured Project Manager – General Operations to lead and deliver operational projects aligned with our strategic, regulatory, and performance objectives.

This role is central to ensuring the effective coordination of cross-functional initiatives across maintenance, CAMO, operations, training, and support functions, while maintaining full compliance with aviation and QHSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

• Lead and coordinate operational projects such as base set-up, fleet integration, digital systems implementation, and crew management improvements.
• Define project scope, milestones, KPIs, and timelines.
• Monitor budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide structured reporting to senior management and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Operational Strategy & Process Optimization

• Support the implementation of new operational procedures, tools, and planning systems.
• Ensure optimal allocation of human and technical resources.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Foster collaboration between departments to enhance efficiency and performance.

Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management

• Ensure projects are aligned with EASA regulations and local aviation requirements.
• Coordinate with Safety & Compliance and Quality Assurance teams during audits and inspections.
• Embed ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) principles into project workflows.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Promote a strong safety-first culture across all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and resource optimization.
• Participate in QHSE training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Aviation Management, Engineering, or equivalent. Project Management certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project or operations management, ideally within aviation or aerospace.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of CAMO, MRO, fleet deployment, and aviation crew logistics.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EASA regulations and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards.
• Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (mandatory).
• Tools: Proficiency in MS Project, Asana (or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
