We are hiring a skilled B2 Avionic Engineer – Type Rated H215 (M/F/X) to maintain and certify avionics systems for high-intensity missions.

Aircraft Type: Airbus Helicopters H215

Reports to: Chief Engineer

About the Role

As a B2 Avionic Engineer, you will perform, inspect, and certify avionics maintenance tasks on Airbus H215 helicopters dedicated to aerial firefighting. Your work ensures the airworthiness, safety, and rapid turnaround of complex systems operating in time-sensitive and high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair on avionics and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot communications, navigation, autopilot, and mission-specific electronic systems
  • Certify work in accordance with EASA Part-66 (B2 license) and Helion internal authorizations
  • Interpret OEM manuals (AMM, IPC, WDM, SBs, ADs) and use digital maintenance tools
  • Conduct ground testing and operational checks of avionics systems
  • Maintain accurate, traceable documentation and logbooks for all certified work
  • Monitor calibration and validity of avionics test equipment
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment per aviation standards
  • Support fast turnaround and firefighting readiness during operational deployment
  • Travel to forward operating bases during firefighting season as needed

QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) Responsibilities

  • Apply all required PPE and safety protocols; report risks and incidents immediately
  • Respect environmental practices (waste, emissions, energy conservation)
  • Report non-conformities and participate in QSE audits, briefings, and continuous improvement
  • Apply Human Factors, SMS, EWIS, and FOD principles in all tasks
  • Promote safety-first culture in day-to-day avionics operations

Your Profile

  • EASA Part-66 B2 License, with H215 type rating
  • Minimum 5 years experience in rotary-wing avionics maintenance
  • Experience with firefighting or mission-equipped helicopters is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and using test equipment
  • Knowledge of EASA Part-145 regulatory framework
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time/documentation management
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written); Greek or French is a plus
  • Mandatory training: Human Factors, EWIS, FOD, SMS, Part-145
