Bloom Charter Schools are recruiting an experienced and dynamic School Head of Faculty with a strong focus on Teaching and Learning to join one of our Charter Schools in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

The Charter Schools project is dedicated to public school students based in Al Ain, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Operated and managed by private education providers, our Charter Schools offer an American-based curriculum from kindergarten through to cycle three, up to Grade 11, with more grades to be introduced as students progress in their educational journey.

The Head of Faculty is responsible for providing professional leadership and managing the teaching team to ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and student outcomes, while supporting the overall academic development and wellbeing of students.

Job Description :

  • Lead the development and implementation of a high-impact teaching and learning strategy aligned with the schools vision and improvement priorities.
  • Coach and support teachers through instructional coaching cycles, modeling, and feedback to improve classroom practice.
  • Drive consistent implementation of the schools instructional framework (e.g., Gradual Release, 5E, inquiry-based learning) across all classrooms.
  • Analyze student achievement data to identify trends, gaps, and targeted improvement strategies.
  • Support teachers in planning rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that include differentiation and appropriate scaffolds.
  • Lead professional learning sessions and design high-quality CPD focused on improving pedagogy and student outcomes.
  • Monitor teaching and learning through learning walks, lesson observations, and work scrutiny, providing actionable feedback to staff.
  • Ensure effective support and differentiation for Students of Determination and diverse learners within classroom instruction.
  • Collaborate with middle leaders to strengthen curriculum planning, assessment practices, and intervention strategies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and professional collaboration among staff.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • BA in Education (or similar relevant topic)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in educational leadership roles
  • Proven track record of improving teaching quality and student outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in instructional coaching and adult learning.
  • Ability to use data to inform teaching, learning, and intervention decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence practice, and lead change.
  • Experience in an American curriculum would be an advantage
