Cakum Global is recruiting a Branch Manager – Freight Forwarding (CargoWise) for our client based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview:
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of a freight forwarding branch. The successful candidate must bring strong CargoWise capability alongside proven people and operational leadership experience in a freight forwarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage branch operations across sea and air freight forwarding

Ensure effective and consistent use of CargoWise across all operational activities

Supervise, mentor, and develop branch staff

Maintain operational standards, compliance, and data accuracy

Oversee quotations, job costing, invoicing, and operational reporting

Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholders

Drive efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the branch
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in a Branch Manager or senior operations role within freight forwarding
-
Strong, hands-on experience using CargoWise (mandatory)

Demonstrated leadership and people management capability

Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations, customs processes, and compliance
-
Commercially aware with experience overseeing operational performance and costs

Confident decision-maker, firm but fair leadership style
