Country Manager

Cakum Global is recruiting a Country Manager – Shipping & Logistics to lead our clients operations in Honiara, Solomon Islands

About the Role:
This is a senior leadership position responsible for the end-to-end management of shipping, freight forwarding, transport, and warehousing operations. The role requires a hands-on leader, particularly within Shipping Agency operations, while overseeing all other branch functions through department heads.

Key Role Highlights:

• Full responsibility for branch operations and performance
• Hands-on management of Shipping & Port Agency activities
• Oversight of freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, and transport
• Ownership of budgets, P&L, and cost control
• Drive sales growth and strengthen key stakeholder relationships
• Lead, mentor, and develop local teams

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in shipping agency and logistics management
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and commercial acumen
• Solid understanding of customs, port, and maritime procedures
• Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to challenge existing practices
• Comfortable operating in complex and developing market environments
