Construction Project Manager
As Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the build-out of new operational and R&D sites for Castelion. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, architects, and local authorities to ensure our facilities are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our mission needs. This role requires a high level of autonomy, field presence, and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of construction projects from initial planning and permitting through ground-breaking to commissioning and handover
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
- Work closely with leadership to translate program and engineering requirements into facility specifications
- Source and manage contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee day-to-day execution
- Coordinate with local jurisdictions to secure necessary permits and approvals
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Provide regular reporting on progress, cost, and key milestones to leadership
- Travel as needed to support active and upcoming site development projects (primary sites include Torrance, CA and Midland, TX)
Basic Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management or site development
- Proven ability to lead fast-paced, ground-up construction or expansion projects
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, permitting, and project controls
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between project sites
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, R&D, or industrial infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with environmental permitting or DoD compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Emails, IMs and verbal interactions are logical, drive clarity, and detailed enough to eliminate ambiguity.
