Software Infrastructure Architect
As a Software Infrastructure Architect you will be at the forefront of architecting, developing, and testing the software that drives data infrastructure. Your role involves close collaboration with fellow Castelion engineers across software and hardware domains to implement and debug data infrastructure software across the entire technology stack from automation of testing to management of lab, test, and flight data ensuring complete mission success. Responsibilities
System Architecture: Define architecture and develop software to support test automation, CI/CD, telemetry storage and visualization.
Comprehensive Software Development: Manage the entire software development process, from architecture definition to software development and deployment for mission-critical applications.
Project Leadership: Collaborate with hardware designers, manufacturing engineers and flight software developers to define infrastructure needs. Develop and execute software infrastructure roadmaps.
Enhance Standards and Practices: Continuously improve software standards and best practices within the software team, fostering an environment of ongoing improvement and innovation.
Basic Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or a related STEM field, along with over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 3 years of experience with Python and SQL.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Programming Expertise: Proven proficiency in Python or similar systems programming languages. Experience with SQL databases and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS etc).
System Experience: Track record of designing and building scalable data solutions. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded hardware systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, network troubleshooting, and performance analysis with strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
Problem-Solving: Innovative problem-solving approach using first-principles thinking, including developing prototypes to validate key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
