Site Security Manager (Armed)
As the Armed Site Security Manager at Castelion's production facility, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all armed security operations to protect highly sensitive assets, classified materials, personnel, and infrastructure. You will ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, DoD security mandates, and facility-specific security protocols while maintaining a secure environment critical to national security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Security Oversight:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of armed security officers tasked with protecting a high-security production site.
- Develop, implement, and continuously update security procedures that meet DoD, ATF, Contractual, and facility-specific requirements.
- Coordinate security operations to safeguard personnel, classified information, controlled materials, and critical infrastructure.
- Regulatory Compliance & Protocols:
- Ensure adherence to DoD security standards, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ITAR, ATF, and other applicable federal regulations.
- Maintain all licensing and certification requirements for armed personnel, including background investigations, psychological evaluations, and security clearances (as required).
- Facilitate regular training and refresher programs focused on armed security, emergency response, protection of assets, classified material handling, and insider threat awareness.
- Risk Management & Incident Response:
- Conduct continuous risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigating security measures.
- Act as the primary responder to security incidents, including breaches, unauthorized access attempts, and emergencies, coordinating with federal and local law enforcement, and military agencies as necessary.
- Maintain a robust incident reporting system and ensure timely communication to senior management and DoD security representatives.
- Security Systems & Access Control:
- Oversee the operation of advanced security technologies, including CCTV, intrusion detection, access control systems, drone mitigation/detection, and biometric identification.
- Manage site access, ensuring only authorized personnel with appropriate clearances enter controlled areas.
- Enforce strict visitor control and escort policies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Liaise regularly with DoD security officials, local law enforcement, federal agencies, and internal departments to ensure alignment with security policies and intelligence sharing.
- Promote a culture of security awareness across the workforce, emphasizing the critical nature of the facility's mission.
- Provide comprehensive security briefings and reports to facility leadership and DoD stakeholders.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in security management, preferably in a DoD contractor or defense industry environment.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Valid firearm license and certifications aligned with federal and state laws.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD security regulations, including NISPOM, DODM 5100.76, ATF, and ITAR compliance.
- Proven ability to manage high-risk security operations and personnel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Experience with advanced security technology and access control systems.
- Physical capability to perform site patrols and emergency response duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years experience in armed/unarmed security management, preferably in a DoD contractor or defense industry environment.
- Active Top Secret security clearance w/CI Poly.
- Minimum 10+ years experience handling classified programs and material
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass thorough background investigations, psychological exams, and drug screening.
- Valid drivers license and ability to operate site vehicles if required.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling classified information with the utmost discretion.

Emails, IMs and verbal interactions are logical, drive clarity, and detailed enough to eliminate ambiguity.
ITAR Requirements
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
