MET ENGINEER REQUIRED - PRESTIGIOUS AUTOMOTIVE GROUP

Are you an experienced MET Engineer looking for your next challenge with a leading automotive group?

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MET Engineer to join our client's established accident repair centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation that invests in its people and facilities.

THE ROLE

As an MET Engineer, you will be responsible for stripping and refitting vehicles following accident damage, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within manufacturer guidelines. You will work on a diverse range of vehicles, using the latest equipment and diagnostic tools to deliver quality repairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strip and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components on damaged vehicles Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical issues Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer specifications and repair methods Carry out thorough testing of all systems before vehicle handover Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used Work collaboratively with the body shop team to ensure efficient workflow Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times Keep work area clean, tidy, and organised

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as an MET Engineer within the accident repair industry Full UK driving licence Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues Strong working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems Ability to work from technical manuals and follow manufacturer guidelines Good attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Team player with excellent communication skills Relevant qualifications desirable (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
