About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Vehicle Painter / Sprayer to join a leading Accident Repair Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle painting, be confident working with a variety of paint systems, and maintain a high standard of finish on all repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking, sanding, and priming
- Mix and match paint colours accurately using manufacturer specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns and approved techniques to ensure a flawless finish
- Carry out blending techniques for seamless repairs
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality assurance before final handover
- Maintain paint booth cleanliness and follow all health & safety procedures
- Work efficiently to ensure timely turnaround and minimise rework
- Collaborate with other technicians and bodyshop staff as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a vehicle painter/sprayer in a bodyshop environment
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Refinishing or equivalent qualification
- Skilled in using water-based and 2-pack paint systems
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Familiarity with accident repair processes and insurance work standards
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
