Job Description:
Position: Technical Finishing Manager
Salary Range: USD 2000 gross
Location: Binh Duong
Report to: Indian Technical Finishing Director
Manage: 10 engineers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Timely Support to Production and Other Departments (70%)
- Review WW of PP and SP, assign technicians, check completed PP and SP, approve system sheets, and issue them to production.
- Ensure PP preparation aligns with customer expectations, ME drawings, and quality standards; verify PP checklists.
- Confirm that all system sheets are approved by Sherwin R&D and the application team before mass production.
- Perform Gemba walks on production lines and develop action plans for improvement.
- Approve FOP, verify FOP checklists, and confirm system sheets in production.
- Maintain the PP library and create update/refresh plans.
- Assist with the preparation of testing panels and update panel refresh information.
- Troubleshoot issues online, record root causes and solutions, and provide training.
- Create ECR for CAP when necessary.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as enhancing color consistency, reducing finishing costs, optimizing chemical usage, and streamlining processes and color range.
- Lead cost-saving projects, including testing and trials.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with other departments.
- Maintain visual management systems.
- Participate in daily catch-up meetings, as well as production and project meetings when required.
2. Managing the Technical Finishing Team (30%)
- Promote efficiency and continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide comprehensive training for all technicians.
- Set and implement clear, straightforward action plans for various teams.
- Monitor and assess team performance and efficiency daily.
- Ensure timely service delivery to other departments by delegating tasks appropriately.
- Make sure supervisors, team leaders, and technicians understand their RACI.
- Define simple, measurable KPIs aligned with company goals.
- Conduct performance appraisals for team members.
- Motivate the team and retain talent.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduated from College/University majoring in Polymer Chemistry
- 8 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, including 5- 6 years in an equivalent position in wooden furniture manufacturing or other related industries
- English proficiency: Good
- Proficient in basic computer hardware and software skills
- Solid knowledge of various finishing techniques such as NC, MPU, PU, UV, etc.
- Strong capability in color assessment
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) + 2 Saturday per month (8: 00 AM- 4:00 PM)
- Shuttle bus from Hang Xanh, 12 Dis., Thu Duc, Bien Hoa, Binh Duong to factory
- Social Insurance on full salary, Health Insurance for Manager level
- 14 days of per year
