QA/QC Staff (Furniture) - Up to 25M VND

 Job Description:

I. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Material Approval & Submission

  • Coordinate with the PM/PC/SM to accurately identify materials requiring sample submission.

  • Agree in writing on the sample submission and approval procedure with the Client and Lead Consultant (including submission forms, approval timeline, authority, required attached documents, etc.).

  • Develop a sample submission plan for all materials used in the project.

  • Coordinate with relevant parties (purchasing department, factory, suppliers, subcontractors) to gather the necessary documents for material submission.

  • Monitor the sample-making schedule, expedite production, and inspect samples before submitting them for approval.

  • Execute the project's sample submission to the Client and Supervision Consultant; track the approval status to update information and resubmit if necessary.

  • Report directly to supervisors (PM/PC/SM/QAQC Leader).

2. Testing, Conformity Certification, and Verification

  • Confirm with the PM/PC, Consultant, and Client regarding materials requiring testing and conformity certification. Clarify requirements for testing, verification, and certification formats.

  • Prepare testing outlines for project materials and submit them for Client/Consultant approval when required.

  • Plan and witness the testing process to support incoming material inspections and subsequent installation inspections.

  • Identify materials needing conformity certification, plan the execution, and propose budgets for product certification.

  • Plan and propose budgets for the verification of technical calculation sheets and construction method statements upon request from the Client, Supervision Consultant, or authorities.

3. Incoming Material Inspection (Throughout the project lifecycle)

  • Clarify and agree (via meeting minutes) with the Consultant/Client on the site incoming material inspection procedures based on the contract (including steps, required documents, number of copies, inspection forms, authorized personnel, etc.).

  • Establish Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for the project's incoming material inspection.

  • Create checklists for incoming material inspections.

  • Record and evaluate non-conforming materials delivered to the site.

  • Directly inspect and accept incoming materials alongside the Client and Supervision Consultant.

  • Directly resolve any issues related to material quality upon delivery to the site.

  • Verify and confirm supplier inspection records to support supplier payment processes.

  • Manage and archive incoming material inspection records per company regulations.

  • Coordinate with the QS department to check and reconcile material quantities for interim and final payments.

4. Installation, Phase, and Final Handover Inspection

  • Clarify and agree in writing on phase and final inspection procedures for all items and the entire project (including inspection steps, required documents, signature formats, authorized personnel, etc.).

  • Establish ITPs for installation inspection that align with the project's quality requirements.

  • Create checklists for site installation inspections.

  • Directly inspect and evaluate the construction process of teams/subcontractors based on the established ITP. Issue reports on Non-Conformities (NCRs) and propose corrective/preventive actions.

  • Coordinate with site supervisors to participate in installation inspections with the Client and Supervision Consultant.

  • Work with the project team, Consultant, and Client to close quality-related NCRs.

  • Participate in phase completion inspections and the final handover inspection to put the project into operation.

  • Execute, manage, and archive all installation, phase, and final handover records in full compliance with the contract and state regulations on construction quality management.

  • Provide complete and timely quality records to the site QS for interim and final payment dossiers.

  • Track and complete project records to ensure alignment with the initial payment collection schedule. Report to the Board of Directors for timely solutions if the schedule is not met.

  • Check subcontractor inspection records to support subcontractor payments.

II. REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: College degree or higher in Construction, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Economics, or related fields.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience, specifically in interior fit-out projects.

  • Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and able to view/print AutoCAD files. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D software is a strong advantage.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid knowledge of quality control planning, site quality inspection/supervision, contracts, QS, scheduling, safety, and risk management.

  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand layout and detailed drawings for interior fit-out items.

  • Language: Communicative English; ability to read site charts, schedules, and drawings in English.

  • Careful, highly organized, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
