QC Manager (Chemical/Paint)

 Job Description:

I. JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Management and Operations

  • Manage, assign, and supervise the work of the QC team (approximately 10 staff members).
  • Train, provide professional guidance, evaluate performance, and develop the QC team.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans to meet the company's objectives.

2. Quality Control

  • Supervise and control the quality of input materials, the production process, and finished products.
  • Ensure that products meet technical standards, customer requirements, and company regulations.
  • Detect, analyze, and handle cases of non-conforming products or materials.

3. Quality System Management

  • Build, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Draft, update, and control quality documents such as procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal audits, customer audits, and third-party audits.

4. Troubleshooting and Quality Improvement

  • Lead root cause investigations for defects using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, 8D, etc.
  • Propose and track the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Propose improvement activities to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and minimize the scrap rate.

5. Reporting and Coordination

  • Prepare and present periodic quality reports (QA/QC Reports).
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering/Technical, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters.
II. REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 05 years of experience in Quality Management (QA/QC), including team management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in the paint and chemical industry; understanding of material properties, quality assessment, and color matching/evaluation is an advantage.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience in building and operating Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent systems).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality analysis and improvement tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, etc.
  • Language: Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with foreign customers and partners.
