Supervises: Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Test, Facility, Project Management Teams

Direct Reports: Deputy Plant Manager

Salary package:

  • For Vietnamese candidates: approximately USD 5,000 (Gross).
  • For Chinese candidates: RMB 40,000 (Gross ~ VND 148 million), plus allowance of RMB 330/day. Company-provided transportation and housing are included.

1. Job Purpose

To lead and oversee all operational functions including Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Facility, Test, and Project Management ensuring smooth and efficient factory operations that meet customer requirements, cost targets, delivery performance, and quality standards.

The Operation Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence, cross-departmental collaboration, and continuous improvement to support the companys long-term growth.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1. Operations Leadership

Lead daily operations across all departments to achieve targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP).

Develop, implement, and monitor annual operational plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Ensure production schedules, capacity, and manpower planning are optimized for

efficiency and flexibility.

Maintain strong coordination among Production, Quality, Engineering, and Project teams to ensure flawless execution.

2.2. Quality & Continuous Improvement

Drive zero-defect mindset and enforce quality control across all manufacturing stages.

Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and customer requirements.

Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and OEE optimization methodologies.

Support problem-solving activities (8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA) and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.

2.3. Engineering & Technical Management

Oversee Manufacturing Engineering and Test Engineering teams to ensure process stability, test capability, and equipment readiness.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and mass production ramp-up, ensuring

readiness of process, tooling, and testing systems.

Review and approve engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and new technology integration.

Ensure factory capacity and technical infrastructure support business growth.

2.4. Facility & Maintenance

Supervise Facility team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable factory utilities (power, HVAC, compressed air, ESD, etc.).

Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and energy-saving regulations.

Drive facility expansion or optimization projects when required.

2.5. Project Management

Monitor cross-functional project performance and ensure on-time delivery of key

milestones (NPI, customer projects, automation initiatives).

Manage resource allocation, risk assessment, and coordination between teams.

Report project status and escalation to top management and customers when required.

2.6. Budget & Cost Control

Prepare and manage departmental budgets (OPEX, CAPEX).

Monitor production cost, material usage, and efficiency improvement.

Drive cost-reduction programs through process optimization and yield improvement.

2.7. Leadership & People Development

Lead a large and diverse team with 3002000 employees (depending on factory size).

Build a high-performance culture through motivation, recognition, and training.

Identify and develop future leaders through structured career path planning.

Promote a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

2.8. Communication & Reporting

Communicate effectively in Vietnamese, English, and Chinese with local teams, global management, and overseas customers.

Provide regular operational reports (KPIs, risks, improvement actions) to top

management.

Represent the Operations function in customer visits, audits, and reviews.

3. Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, or Business Administration.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, with 5+ years in a managerial role overseeing multi-functional teams.

Strong background in mass production management, high-mix low-volume (HMLV), or high-frequency connector/cable manufacturing is preferred.

Proven experience managing a large-scale plant with 500+ employees.

Skills:

Deep understanding of production systems, quality management, process

engineering, and project execution.

Excellent leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage crossfunctional teams.

Strong communication and negotiation skills across all levels.

Analytical mindset with capability to manage complex problems.

Proficient in Vietnamese and Chinese (Mandarin) for daily communication and reporting, prefer using English

Familiar with ERP/MES systems and advanced Excel/Power BI reporting. Certifications (Preferred):

Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

PMP or equivalent project management certification

ISO/IATF internal auditor qualification
