1. Role Overview

The Applications Engineer bridges customer requirements and engineering execution, supporting composite product development from concept to production, ensuring feasibility, quality, and performance.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Customer & Technical Interface
  • Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements
  • Translate requirements into engineering specs, drawings, and solutions
  • Support technical discussions and design reviews
• Application Development
  • Develop product concepts using CAD & FEA
  • Support DFM, material selection, tolerance analysis
  • Participate in prototype builds and validation testing
• NPI (New Product Introduction)
  • Support StageGate process and engineering deliverables
  • Lead trials and prepare production documentation
  • Assist pilot runs and production ramp-up
• Tooling & Design Collaboration
  • Collaborate with tooling teams to optimize manufacturability
  • Review tooling designs and support qualification
• Cross-functional Coordination
  • Work with Production, Quality, Supply Chain
  • Support root cause analysis and customer issue resolution
• Documentation & Improvement
  • Maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Suggest improvements for performance and cost efficiency
  • Stay updated on composite technologies

3. Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Materials / Aerospace Engineering
• Experience
  • 0–3 years in applications / product / manufacturing engineering
• Technical Skills
  • CAD: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX
  • FEA knowledge
  • Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, materials
• Soft Skills
  • Strong communication & customer-facing ability
  • Analytical mindset
  • Hands-on, willing to work on shop floor
• Other
  • Willing to travel (~25%)
  • English required (Chinese is a plus)
