Finishing Production Supervisor

 Job Description:

Position: Finishing Production Supervisor

Salary Range: VND 17-20 million

Location: Binh Duong

Report to: Production Area Manager/ Production Manager

Manage: 80-100 employees

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. WIP (Work in Progress)- 50%

  • Consolidate all new weekly CP releases into one master file for summary and tracking purposes.
  • Perform daily FIN WIP tracking and provide updates to the team with complete information on finishing progress.
  • Every Monday, issue a report summarizing the previous weeks schedule performance to evaluate whether the plans are effective or require improvement.
  • Coordinate and arrange necessary resources to ensure all production units operate at maximum efficiency.
  • Work closely with the CP team to ensure all scheduling information including SO/WO/PO alignment and line or plant allocations is properly communicated to the production units.
  • Ensure production lines are balanced and monitor lead times for critical processes and product lines (e.g., new items or new groups) by working closely with Production Managers, Finishing Managers, and Senior Supervisors to understand process changes and learning curves.
  • Proactively share updates about pull-ins, cancellations, DQ, urgent (hot) items, or air-freight orders with the HW Coordinator to ensure timely preparation of materials and components, including hardware, chemicals, packaging, non-BOM items, cartons, padding, and glass.
  • Prepare progress reports comparing production achievements against scheduled targets (as mentioned above) and participate in weekly meetings (every Friday) to review WIP status and shipment forecasts.
  • Guide expediters to ensure timely WIP updates at every workstation, maintaining schedule integrity. Hold regular meetings with shop floor expediters when necessary.
  • Generate reports as directed by the manager, summarizing backorders, off-schedule items, and WIP status by workstation or product group.

2. Planning- 40%

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager/Supervisor to identify critical materials and communicate needs to purchasing or material planners.
  • Notify the Purchasing Manager/Supervisor of material shortages or critical needs to prevent or minimize potential production delays.
  • Train and support shop floor staff and expediters to improve their computer skills by teaching basic applications and using standardized forms to reduce handwritten reports.
  • Develop procedures for all planning-related tasks to guide staff and expediters when process deviations occur.
  • Coordinate and arrange necessary resources to ensure production units run at full capacity.
  • Monitor inactive items, missing POs, overruns, and excess materials or components.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Planning Supervisor when required.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and open-mindedness in the role of a planner.

3. Others- 10%

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Production Manager related to production planning activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education & Major: Graduated from College/University
  • English Level: Basic.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP, and MRP systems.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, material flow, and coordination processes (details to be specified based on role).
  • 4 years of working experience, including 2 years in related position in managing finishing lines in furniture manufacturing companies.

Working Conditions:

- Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) + 2 Saturday per month (8: 00 AM- 4:00 PM)

- Shuttle bus from Hang Xanh, 12 Dis., Thu Duc, Bien Hoa, Binh Duong to factory

- Social Insurance on full salary, Health Insurance for Manager level

- 14 days of per year
