Costing Manager
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Development
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices, costing strategies, policies, processes, and procedures aimed at improving operational performance.
- Ensure efficient costing processes are in place and take on project leadership when needed.
- Support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
- Monitor and review reports and data to detect and assess problems, providing recommendations for resolution.
- Manage and deliver optimal outcomes from vendor and supplier negotiations.
- Provide strategic and operational information to leadership.
- Manage, coach, develop, and optimize team performance to meet organizational goals.
- Effectively manage the Brand Costing team to achieve seasonal MFP margin targets.
- Set direction for team OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), and review and assess the ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional departments and factory partners.
- Execute competitive costing strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance.
- Lead initiatives and projects to enhance product costing and support brand growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Dev-Com, Material, and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities aligned with performance goals.
- Review and compile costing reports to ensure standardization and compliance with internal policies.

- Conduct insightful costing analyses to support negotiation of costing standards with factory partners.
- Drive continuous improvement through system enhancements and innovative cost engineering processes.
Requirements:
- University Degree or above.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in footwear costing and/or manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years in a people management role with experience supervising individuals.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong price negotiation skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
- Technical knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods.
- Proficient in IT systems with advanced Excel skills.
- High level of integrity and openness to change.
