Job Description:
Position: Production Project Manager
Salary Range: 2000-2500 USD
Location: Hai Duong
Work independently in a team of 3 peoples, with equal positions and reporting directly to the department manager in the US.
1 round of interview: offline or online depending on the foreign manager's work schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is located at our factory in Vietnam and is accountable for overseeing the successful implementation of new product introductions and projects within the site. The primary focus of this role is to manage key manufacturing checkpoints, assess production readiness, and ensure all high-priority activities are completed ahead of the project deadlines.
Core duties and responsibilities include:
- Leading and overseeing all aspects of assigned manufacturing programs and projects, ensuring effective coordination and execution.
- Developing a comprehensive project management plan that includes scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, stakeholder responsibilities, assumptions, risk assessments, contingencies, and performance metrics.
- Monitoring project performance, evaluating progress, and taking corrective measures as needed to stay on track with timelines and costs.
- Acting as the central communication hub for designated projects, keeping stakeholders informed about progress, issues, resolutions, and any impacts on deadlines or budgets.
- Coordinating the manufacturing schedule and ensuring all tollgates associated with production readiness (e.g., PPAP approvals, documentation) are achieved on time.
- Facilitating Lean manufacturing initiatives through structured events such as 2P/3P workshops.
- Ensuring a comprehensive production ramp-up strategy is in place, including:
- Developing production line rates and balance tables with operations teams.
- Creating standard work instructions and updating labor routing.
- Identifying required staffing levels and training needs.
- Collaborating with finance to finalize and approve standard costs.
- Identifying high-risk components and schedule threats, along with establishing plans to mitigate those risks.
- Verifying that all production and quality testing equipment is validated before launch.
- Overseeing a safe production launch and ensuring all success metrics are satisfied prior to shipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Mechanical is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering and/or project management roles. Candidates with project management experience and technical background in automobile manufacturing companies such as Vinfast, Pretll,... are a plus.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.
- Hands-on involvement in collaborative product development between internal teams and external suppliers.
- High levels of curiosity and creativity, with demonstrated problem-solving abilities aimed at enhancing customer value and reducing costs of products.
- Confident in communicating across all organizational levels and presenting in executive/leadership settings.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to other company sites.
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday (7:30 AM 4:30 PM)
- 13th salary month+ bonus (April 30, September, year-end bonus), salary increase twice a year based on evaluation (average increase 5%).
- Probation period: 2 months, 85% basic salary + 100% allowance.
- Annual leave: 12 days per year.
- Insurance paid on full salary.
