Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations for import and export shipments accurately and within required timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, finance teams, trucking partners, and customers to collect and verify all necessary shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, licenses, and certificates.
• Work directly with customs authorities, quarantine agencies, and other regulatory bodies to resolve shipment holds, inspections, and documentation discrepancies.
• Monitor updates in customs regulations, tariff schedules, trade agreements, duty drawback programs, and other related policies; ensure implementation and compliance within operations.
• Maintain well-organized electronic and physical filing systems for all customs-related records and documentation.
• Provide consultation and support to customers regarding customs procedures, HS codes, duty rates, Certificates of Origin, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc operational reports related to customs clearance performance, cost analysis, and process efficiency; recommend workflow improvements where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Customs & Trade, International Business, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with proven experience in team management and customs compliance.
• Strong understanding of FCL, LCL, airfreight, temporary import/export, and transshipment procedures.
• Customs brokerage certification or customs practice license is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in customs declaration systems such as VNACCS/VCIS, ECUS, or equivalent software.
• Good command of English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and perform well under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on compliance and risk control.
