MARKETING COUNTRY LEAD (MALAYSIA)
Job Description:
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Level: Manager / Lead
Direct Reports: 2–4 team members
Scope: Malaysia Market
I/ Role Purpose:
Build and grow the Malaysian market by executing localized marketing strategies, developing a strong creator and community ecosystem, driving revenue growth across e-commerce channels, and establishing [Brand Name] as a leading Performance Lifestyle brand for Southeast Asian consumers. This role owns the growth performance of the Malaysian market and is accountable for both brand-building and business results.
II/ Key Responsibilities:
A. GTM Strategy Development & Execution (35%)
- Collaborate with the CMO to develop and continuously refine the Malaysia marketing strategy according to each market development stage.
- Identify customer segments, market opportunities, and growth priorities.
- Execute growth initiatives tailored to the Malaysian market.
- Monitor marketing investment effectiveness and optimize budget allocation.
- Work closely with Vietnam-based teams (Performance Marketing, Design, Production, CRM, Ecommerce) to ensure consistent execution of strategic initiatives.
B. Community & Creator Ecosystem Development (30%)
- Build strategic partnerships within Running, Pickleball, Fitness, and Wellness communities.
- Manage Community Growth Agency partners and evaluate performance.
- Develop [Brand Name]'s influencer, creator, and affiliate ecosystem in Malaysia.
- Create partnership programs that increase Earned Media and Community-led Growth.
- Establish strategic relationships with club leaders, event organizers, and community owners.
C. Revenue Growth & Marketing Performance (35%)
- Own key growth metrics for the Malaysian market.
- Coordinate activities across Content, Affiliate, Ecommerce, and Performance Marketing functions.
- Monitor performance across TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Website channels.
- Develop reporting systems and evaluate marketing funnel effectiveness.
- Propose initiatives to accelerate revenue growth and customer acquisition.
III/ Authority & Decision-Making Rights:
- Recommend marketing strategies and growth plans for the Malaysian market.
- Manage assigned marketing budgets.
- Select, manage, and evaluate local agencies, creators, and strategic partners.
- Propose sponsorships, community partnerships, and brand-building initiatives.
- Request support and resources from specialized teams in Vietnam when required.

V/ Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing, Ecommerce, Growth, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
- Preferred background in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Brands, Ecommerce Brands, Consumer Brands, Sports/Activewear/Lifestyle Brands.
- Experience working with Influencers, Creators, and/or Community Marketing programs.
- Candidates with experience launching or developing new markets are highly preferred.
