Restaurant General Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the operations of our client's standalone high-end venue with different concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and driving profitability. This is a full-time, permanent position with great growth opportunities within our expanding company.

Profile : 

  • Experience required as GM or AGM
  • Experience for a lifestyle upscale standalone restaurant for an International Group, renowned on this segment - this is mandatory
  • Experience in Dubai or the Middle East

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, scheduling, and ensuring high-quality service is provided at all times

- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability

- Monitor and control all aspects of the budget, including labor, food, and beverage costs

- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment

- Train and develop staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive work culture

- Foster relationships with customers and respond to their feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotions and events to attract new customers and retain existing ones

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to improve performance

- Oversee inventory management and ordering to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste

- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to make strategic business decisions


- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end standalone restaurant

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven track record of driving sales and increasing profitability

- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations

- Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus
