Crucial Recruiting’s story started when Andrew Miller, a startup consultant who’s driven over $200M in startup exits, took a trip down to Mexico to work remotely for a few months. While there, he crossed paths with Nick Kimball, a tech startup recruitment expert who’s helped dozens of startups and giants like Amazon build world-class teams.

Andrew mentioned to Nick that nearly all of his clients eventually needed recruitment help, but he rarely heard positive feedback about the recruiters or recruitment agencies they worked with. That conversation sparked a bigger idea. What if WE teamed up to create a better way for startups to scale their teams, no matter their goals or budgets? Wouldn’t that be CRUCIAL, and our recruitment agency name was born. We exist to close the talent gap.
