About Us

Were seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SWC Inspector to support quality assurance efforts across our Service Wire Center (SWC) projects in California. This role plays a critical function in ensuring all aerial drop installations, primarily residential fiber drops, meet Frontiers quality and documentation standards.

The inspector will also review active BSW tickets, verify completed work, coach field crews when necessary, and ensure that accurate documentation is submitted for project closeouts. This is a field-heavy role, ideal for someone with experience in both aerial and underground fiber construction, who knows what a clean install looks like and can enforce standards without cutting corners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of aerial fiber drops to the home as part of the SWC program.
  • Validate work quality against Frontier specifications and ensure proper cable routing, slack storage, hardware usage, and terminal/house placement.
  • Audit photo documentation, redlines, and closeout materials prior to final submission.
  • Maintain detailed daily inspection logs and escalate failed inspections to PMs.
  • Coordinate closely with construction crews to provide real-time feedback and support retraining when necessary.
  • Serve as the first line of quality control before internal or customer audits occur.
  • Inspect and support BSW work as assigned, with SWC remaining the primary focus.
  • Use company platforms (e.g., JotForm, Monday.com, or custom portals) for field reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in telecom construction or fiber drop installations (aerial experience required).
  • Deep understanding of aerial drop construction standards and quality expectations.
  • Ability to identify poor craftsmanship, incomplete installs, or safety hazards in the field.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in documentation.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently across dispersed geographic areas.
  • Familiarity with smartphones/tablets and cloud-based reporting tools for field data capture.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, assess pole access, and walk routes as needed.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of $70,000 to $90,000 per year
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Company gas card
  • Company-provided tools and support systems for field inspections
  • Opportunity to influence and improve quality outcomes across a growing regional market
  • Collaborative team culture that values accountability and craftsmanship
  • Growth potential into QA/QC leadership or field management roles
