About the job Finance and Office Support Officer
EDANA, the leading European association for the nonwovens and related industries, is opening a Finance & Office Support Officer position to support the finance team with day-to-day financial administration and accounting tasks, while providing essential reception and office support services.
This role offers opportunities to develop financial expertise in an international association environment.
YOUR ROLE
Financial and Office Administration
Under the supervision and guidance of the Financial and Compensation & Benefits Director:
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assist with employees' benefits administration
- Support financial aspects of events and training programmes including invoicing, payment monitoring, and participant queries
- Maintain accurate financial records and payment status documentation
- Prepare financial reports and documentation to support compliance requirements
- Process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Liaise with members, suppliers, and service providers on financial matters
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
Reception & Office Support
- Reception desk coverage: welcoming visitors and answering incoming calls
- Mail management: receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
- Ordering and managing office supplies and consumables
- Maintaining office inventory and liaising with suppliers
- Respond to general email enquiries
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree ("Bachelier") in Accounting, Finance, Administration or related field;
- Experience: 1-2 years in accounting, finance, or administration with knowledge of Belgian accounting requirements; association or international organization experience is an asset
- Language skills: English required at professional working level; French or Dutch is a strong asset
- PC skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Belgian accounting/financial software is a plus (BOB Sage).
