Booking Office / Reservations Consultant
Our client is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Booking Office / Reservations Consultant to join their reservations team in Windhoek.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, travel agents, tour operators and online booking clients. The role is focused on creating, managing, amending and following up on reservations using the Innkeeper reservations system, while ensuring accurate communication and excellent customer service at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process, book, cancel, amend and update reservations while supporting maximum occupancy and revenue.
- Manage email and telephonic reservation enquiries accurately and timeously.
- Liaise with clients, agents, lodge management and relevant internal departments.
- Ensure all reservation transactions are confirmed in writing.
- Process group and tour rooming lists and follow up on overdue deadlines relating to group and individual bookings.
- Handle queries relating to deposits and refunds and ensure these are taken up and executed.
- Ensure booking information and special requests are correctly communicated and entered on Innkeeper.
- Maintain accurate filing and administration within the reservations department.
- Provide professional, helpful and courteous service to guests, clients and colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- German language skills will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience using Innkeeper reservations software.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with all queries and reservations-related matters professionally.
- Strong administrative and multitasking abilities.
- Professional, helpful and customer-focused approach.
