Location: Windhoek, Namibia

We are extending our procurement team and need a dynamic Procurement Manager to assist in preparing our processes for further growth as well as actively contribute to purchasing execution. It is a great opportunity to experience a broad variety of procurement topics, from operational aspects to strategic procurement, as well as improve procurement planning processes (MRP) and the tooling used for it. We source globally and work directly with some of the biggest suppliers in the electronic market.

Job description 

Ensure the availability of our products and some key raw materials (electronic components) as needed  by our customers.

Enhance the procurement team to fulfil the team mission: Ensuring availability of our products

Responsibilities:

Manage operational topics such as purchase orders or forecast and demand planning aspect

Handle all aspects of procuring certain key raw materials, from material planning, price negotiations, order handling, etc.

Work together with our sales and product management teams to review the forecast and demand of our products and plan production with our suppliers accordingly

Operational procurement tasks, managing orders with our suppliers

Optimize the procurement processes and improve automation and integration with suppliers and other systems (ERP, EDI, etc.)

Assess and manage our suppliers

Understand and manage risks in our supply chain

Collaborate with our product management and R&D teams to define key raw materials
and suppliers

Optimize cost of our products

Requirements

A big interest in procurement in particular in the electronic industry
Basic experience in procurement/purchasing
Basic experience in tools and technologies like ERP, Atlassian tools, EDI, etc.
Fluent in English
