Position: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Five-Year Contract
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Grade: E Upper
Purpose of Role
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for defining and executing Telecom Namibias digital marketing strategy, building brand equity, driving customer acquisition and retention, and enhancing market share. The role demands a deep understanding of digital marketing, customer behaviour, and emerging market trends, with a focus on leveraging data analytics and innovative marketing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Telecom Namibias business objectives.
- Lead brand management, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positioning across all channels.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content marketing.
- Oversee customer segmentation and targeting, developing personalized marketing campaigns.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights.
- Manage product marketing, ensuring effective communication of product benefits and value propositions.
- Lead marketing communications, including advertising, public relations, and events.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, focusing on enhancing customer lifetime value.
- Leverage data analytics to measure marketing performance and optimize campaigns.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Key Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Postgraduate Qualification
- with a minimum of ten (10+) years of experience and in marketing leadership roles
- preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and customer experience.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with advanced marketing technologies.
