A leading player in the retail sector, is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven Warehouse Manager to join our growing operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to lead the efficient running of our central warehouse and ensure smooth stock movement to support our store network across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Receiving:
    • Oversee the accurate and timely receiving of stock from suppliers and distribution centres.
    • Ensure all goods received match delivery documentation and quality standards.
  • Stock Control & Management:
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels through regular cycle counts and stock takes.
    • Implement stock rotation (FIFO), monitor expiries, and investigate variances.
    • Reduce losses through effective control systems and reporting mechanisms.
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Manage warehouse layout, space utilization, and equipment.
    • Supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Dispatch & Distribution:
    • Coordinate timely dispatch of stock to retail outlets with accurate documentation.
    • Liaise with transport teams for efficient delivery and distribution planning.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse personnel.
    • Set clear targets, monitor performance, and drive a culture of accountability.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    • Generate operational reports on stock movement, losses, and warehouse KPIs.
    • Ensure full compliance with audit, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in warehouse operations, with 2+ years in a managerial role, preferably in retail or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office tools.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of stock control principles, safety regulations, and inventory reporting.
  • Forklift license and health & safety certification will be an added advantage.
