Location: Windhoek, Namibia

Job Summary:

Our client in the Retail sector is in the market for a Buyer in the liquor sector.

Responsibilities:

• Identify consumer preferences and forecast consumer trends
• Evaluate supplier options according to price, quality and supply
• Market research on new products and ensure improved quality options for consumers and
• Monitor, evaluate and react to changing consumer behaviours and demands.
• Discover and purchase new products
• Negotiate terms of agreement to achieve the best deals for the Company
• Ensure ranging is per customer demographics
• Monitor stock levels and buy within budget
• Create and monitor financial reports on sales, budgets, volume movement as tools to evaluate consumer behaviour and as guides to adjust strategy.
• Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers and internal users.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Retail Buyer
• Valid Drivers License
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suites
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Be able to prioritize tasks according to business needs
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Demonstrate aptitude in effective negotiating
