Assistant Operations Manager

POSITION: ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Accountable for the carrying out of all routine operational tasks and staff management that affects performance in the following departments:

• Receiving

• Stock control

• Order picking and checking

• Vehicle loading and despatch

• Crate center /returns

• Production

• Transport

Requirements for position:

• Standard of education: the minimum requirement is grade 12. A relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage

• Previous experience: previous experience in a warehouse environment in operations/transport must be relevant and is essential

• Specific knowledge/skills: A thorough working knowledge of disciplinary procedures, as well as good interpersonal skills at management and staff levels, are important essential requirements

• Computer literacy: general/all round computer skills are essential

Applicants must:

• Have a valid drivers licence and own transport

• Be able to work shifts

• Have a reliable track record regarding attendance at work, a consistent level of job performance and general conduct.
