POSITON NAME: Internal Auditor

Job purpose:

To deliver the annual audit plan and providing assurance to stakeholders that key risks are being mitigated through management controls, and to add and improve operations through the implementation of a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for all the internal audit project management activities of the Bank.
• Performing the full internal audit cycle.
• Plan and develop risk based annual audit plans.
• Design internal audit procedures and work programs.
• Apply the regulatory and corporate governance expectations of internal audit functions.
• Evaluate and assess business processes and objectives, determine key controls, risk and exposures.
• Improve the Banks operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Build trusting relationships and improve credibility and quality of audit outputs by achieving objectives.
• Assess and improve the effectiveness of the Banks control, risk management and governance process.
• Prepare audit reports.
• Adhere to Nam code principals and Internal Auditing Standards.
• Provide regular reports to the BOD on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls.
• Advisor management on monitoring techniques, risk management and internal controls.
• Required to travel from time to time.

Key requirements:

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
• Minimum of 5 years auditing experience, and preferable 2 years financial/banking industry experience.
• Experience in engaging with all levels of management.
