The Livestock and Livestock Products Board of Namibia (LLPBN) is committed to fostering a sustainable environment for livestock production while advancing market growth and diversification across the livestock and livestock products Industry.

As the current CEO prepares for retirement, the Board is seeking to appoint a visionary, dynamic, and highly experienced individual to lead the organisation into its next phase of strategic development and operational excellence.

Purpose of Role:

The CEO will serve as the principal advisor to the Board on matters affecting the competitiveness and sustainability of Namibias livestock and livestock products industry. This role is responsible for formulating, recommending, and implementing forward-thinking policies, strategies, and initiatives aligned with LLPBNs mandate as custodian of the industry. The CEO will oversee the effective management of human, financial, and physical resources in support of the LLPBNs strategic objectives and ensure full compliance with the Livestock and Livestock Products Industry Act and all relevant legislation.

Person Specification (Minimum Requirements):

  • A degree in Commerce, Agriculture or a related field.
  • A Masters (MBA, MBL, M.Sc or similar) qualification will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years' senior management experience, with progressive leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in agricultural business, livestock and livestock products value chains, strategic planning, research, policy development, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proven ability and track record to lead diverse teams and engage with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and international stakeholders.
