Position: Operations & Commercial Coordinator

Type: 2 months trial with potential for Full-time position
Location: Windhoek, Namibia
Our client is building a regenerative enterprise ecosystem in Namibia. Expos, growing the online Marketplace, developing marketing Hubs, and expanding practical training in organic agriculture and permaculture.
This role exists to help implement and commercialise our work.
You will initially focus on delivering a successful Expo — coordinating exhibitors, suppliers, logistics, and visitors — while learning how a mission-driven but commercially disciplined organisation operates.
If the trial is successful, the role transitions into a longer-term Operations & Commercial Coordinator position helping grow revenue, systems, and leadership.
Phase 1: Two-Month Trial (Expo Focus)
- Exhibitor coordination
- Follow up leads
- Manage communication and onboarding
- Track payments and applications
- Ensure exhibitors are properly prepared
- Supplier and logistics coordination
- Liaise with tent, staging, sound, catering, and print suppliers
- Track deadlines and payments
- Ensure materials arrive on time
- Visitor growth and outreach
- Assist with targeted outreach campaigns
- Coordinate school and partner communication
- Track registrations and enquiries
- On-site execution
- Be physically present during setup and the entire event
- Solve problems quickly, hands-on and calmly
- Coordinate volunteers and crew
- Ensure professional presentation
- This is not a desk role. You must be willing to carry produce, products, banners, place signage, check invoices, sell to customers, and answer calls and messages all in the same day.
Phase 2: Potential Long-Term Role (If Trial Succeeds)
- Marketplace growth
- Improve supplier relationships
- Track sales performance
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Support growth of marketing Hubs as local sales and distribution points
- Revenue coordination

- Improve simple sales and operational systems

- Support basic bookkeeping and reporting

Who This Role Is For:
- A recent graduate or early-career professional
- Strong academic foundation (commerce, business, economics, agriculture or similar)
- High initiative and energy
- Commercial instinct - comfortable talking about money and closing agreements
- Interest in regenerative systems, organic agriculture, or local enterprise
- Detail-oriented, hardworking and reliable
- Experience is less important than hunger and ability to learn, discipline, and execution ability.
