Position: Operations & Growth Manager

Contract: Initially 12 months, with potential for a long-term opportunity

This is not a conventional administrative or project-management role. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who can turn strategy into action, create momentum, build relationships and income, and develop lean, effective organisations around compelling mission to strengthen organic and regenerative agriculture, develop markets and enterprises, build partnerships, connect people and capital, and contribute to a more regenerative and resilient Namibia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of both organisations
• Translate strategy and board decisions into clear priorities, budgets, projects, responsibilities, deadlines and measurable outcomes.
• Develop and implement initiatives that grow both organisations and increase their visibility, impact and sustainability.
• Grow membership and member value, strengthen producer and stakeholder relationships, and build the brand and market for organic products.
• Develop network, businesses, markets, projects, events and knowledge products.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, funding, investment, earned income and mission-aligned commercial activities.
• Build relationships across agriculture, business, communities, government, academia, civil society and finance, and turn those relationships into practical action.
• Identify bottlenecks across value chains and develop or coordinate solutions.
• Establish lean systems, manage resources effectively and ensure strong execution and follow-through.
• Monitor performance, finances, risks and outcomes and report clearly to the relevant boards and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with passion, drive, leadership capability, business acumen and a proven ability to get things done.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent substantial experience.
• Demonstrated experience building, growing or leading an organisation, business, initiative or significant project.
• Strong entrepreneurial and commercial judgement.
• Excellent strategic, organisational and project-management skills.
• The ability to work independently, take ownership and turn ideas into results.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Experience in areas such as organisational leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture, markets and value chains, industry associations, conservation, partnerships, fundraising, project delivery, communications or brand development.
• Knowledge of Namibia and an established network in agriculture, sustainability, conservation, business or rural development would be a significant advantage.
