Chief Executive Officer

5-Year Fixed Term Contract

NamPost is undergoing a transformative journey toward becoming a leading digital and financial services provider, while maintaining its commitment to universal postal service and financial inclusion.

Primary purpose of position

The successful candidate will demonstrate visionary leadership, adaptability, strategic agility, and the ability to inspire and mobilize diverse teams, anchored in financial discipline.

The incumbent will guide and manage internal and external stakeholders, while proactively positioning and evolving the NamPost value proposition in the global and Namibian economic and social backdrop, leveraging technology and sustainable leadership practices.

Key Performance Areas

• Implement and improve the Integrated Strategic Business Plan and Annual Financial Plans to achieve the company's goals. Strategic priorities include digital transformation, financial sustainability, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and inclusive service delivery.
• Create national and shareholder value, through strategic leadership and financial discipline.
• Embrace diversity, innovation and the evolving demands of growth.
• Drive a culture of innovation and smart technology.
• Embed a culture of accountability, good governance and legal compliance.

Specific Requirements

• Diverse experience in the Financial Services Industry.
• A balanced individual with a strong ethical and professional track record.

Education and Work Experience

• Hons Degree in Commerce-, Finance-, Law-, Business Management, or similar.
• A Masters qualification in business management or similar will be an added advantage.
• At least 12 years Management Experience preferably in a service oriented business environment, in a Banking or Insurance or logistics environment.
• At least, 5 of the 12 years, should have been at executive management level. Exposure to operational systems will be an advantage, significant exposure to retail, services and financial services would be a strong advantage.
• Experience in banking, insurance, or fintech will be a strong advantage.
• Proven success in leading organisations of similar complexity.
• Proven success in setting and executing organizational strategy
• Leading digital transformation or fintech integration
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships across regulatory, governmental, and commercial stakeholders
