POSITON NAME: Finance Manager

An opportunity has become available for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to oversee the financial operations of 3 divisions. The Finance Manager role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical abilities, leadership skills and a passion for accuracy and compliance. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.

Reporting to the Finance Executive (based in Cape Town) and working closely with the Operations Executive and General Manager (Namibia), the responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, forecasts, annual budgets and year-end financial results
• Ensure the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies
• Manage the debtors process, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations to maintain optimal cash flow
• Review creditor reconciliations and approve supplier payments in line with company policies
• Monitor daily bank balances, ensure sufficient cash flow and optimise interest earnings
• Conduct checks, analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Liaise with divisions to resolve accounting issues and ensure consistency of financial practices
• Identify, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, managing timely and accurate delivery of all financial outputs
• Partner with management to provide financial insights and support in key decision-making processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, ACCA or similar are highly preferred Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience in cash flow management, budgeting and financial reporting
• Experience with SAP an advantage
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel (advanced)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent planning and analytical abilities
• Proactive thinking and adaptability date 
• Strong communication and leadership skills with high integrity
