JOB DESCRIPTION | KEY PURPOSE

To ensure the financial administration of the company and associated entities is carried out efficiently and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the finance, financial and management accounting functions, and administration any other functions while ensuring appropriate controls and processes are in place and adhered to which includes all customer and supplier transactions, banking, payroll and related administration, all reconciliations, payments, and transaction processing are carried out to ensure records and information are complete, accurate correctly valued.
  • Monthly preparation and review of Financial and Management Accounting information for the company and associated entities monthly, including variance and any other analysis.
  • Annual Financial Statement preparation, including consolidation where required, and oversight including the timely completion of annual external and any required internal audit engagements.
  • Monitor and manage liquidity and cashflow ensuring operational sustainability and compliance with any relevant statutory liquidity and solvency requirements, including reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly review of performance against targets for Company and all Private Market Funds.
  • Prepare and review of budgets along with ongoing communication and management of budget with respective stakeholders.
  • Ensure that fees for services rendered are invoiced and recovered accurately, timeously and in line with client mandates.
  • Submit and manage all direct and indirect taxes returns including Income Tax (ITX), Withholding Tax on Services (WTX), Withholding Tax on Interest (WTX), Non-Resident Shareholders Tax (NRST), Value Added Tax (VAT), Employee Tax (PAYE) etc. are timeously prepared, submitted and paid.
  • Manage supplier contracts and transactions to ensure effective accounting and control thereof and ensure compliance with terms and conditions, legislation and regulations.
  • Be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the control environment mitigating and managing risk.
  • Review and sign off on NAV calculations, management fee computations, carried interest/performance fee waterfalls, and expense allocations prepared by the fund administrator
  • Reconcile administrator-produced trial balances, capital accounts, and bank statements against internal records
  • Monitor fund cash flows, capital calls, distributions, and drawdowns, ensuring accurate and timely execution
  • Review of Monthly management accounts, capital accounts, call and distribution notices, and amortisation schedules of Private Market funds (including Companies, Trusts, Partnerships or other SPV vehicles)
  • Financial Statement review and coordination of external audit through liaison with administrators and external auditors for the companies Private Market companies, Trusts, Partnerships and other SPV vehicles.
  • Preparation and coordination of reporting and all related investor relations for all private market vehicles and SPVs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investor queries on financial matters
  • Onboard new investors — coordinating KYC/AML documentation with the administrator and compliance team
  • Act as day-to-day relationship manager with the fund administrator — setting SLAs, resolving exceptions, and escalating material issues
  • Provide support with various projects and business initiatives e.g. new fund launches, new legislation, changes to regulatory and tax environments etc.
  • Assist in any responsibilities that the directors, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, directors, and investment team may assign.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance, administration and compliance work.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

B Acc or equivalent, Hons degree qualification and completed articles would be an added advantage
