Role: Superintendent: Employee Relations and Stakeholder Engagement
Reporting to: Executive: Human Resources
Location: Walvis Bay
Nature of the position: Permanent role
Primary purpose of this position:
- To provide value-added Employee Relations (ER) services, compliance with labour legislation and company policies, and foster harmonious Industrial Relations, while promoting employee communication and supporting organisational development initiatives within the company's human resources framework.
Key Performance Areas:
- Strategic Alignment and Operational Supervision
- Support the Executive Human Resources and Employee Health in aligning departmental strategies, policies, structures, and systems with organizational objectives.
- Personnel Management
- Uphold the organizational Value Framework through coaching, behaviour counselling, and conducting code of conduct hearings.
- Organisational Leadership and Teams
- Actively participate in collective leadership, modelling Namdocks values, culture, and leadership competencies.
- Governance, Risk, Compliance, Admin, Assurance, and QAM/QMS
- Serve on the Affirmative Action Committee, ensuring policies and processes align with labour legislation.
- Manage departmental governance, risk, compliance, and assurance, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Establish compliance audit systems, set risk tolerances, and implement people-based risk management controls.
- Labour Relations
- Facilitate disciplinary and counselling processes, ensuring compliance, assisting initiators, and managing grievances.
- Drive compliance with IR policies through monitoring, training, and corrective actions.
- Administration
- Support HR service delivery by developing, updating, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.
- Provide guidance to management and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Employee Relationships
- Develop and maintain the Performance Management System, procedures, and processes.

Qualification and Experience Required:
- Three (3) year Bachelors Degree in Law/Industrial Relations, or a related field (NQF 7).
- Five (5) years relevant experience in Employee/Industrial Relations, preferably at Supervisory level.
- A Valid Drivers Licence (Code B).
