Role: ENGINEER PROPOSALS

Divisions: Commercial and Marketing

Reporting to: Executive Commercial and Marketing

Location: Walvis Bay

Nature of the position: Permanent

Primary purpose of this position:

• To manage the Proposals and Performance Management Section within Namdock's Commercial and Marketing Division. Additionally to lead the development and delivery of client proposals, fostering cross-functional teamwork, and driving the acquisition of new projects and opportunities to advance Namdock's growth and success.

Key Performance Areas:

Operational Leadership

• Communicate the Proposal and Performance Sections goals, operational instructions, policies, procedures, and regulations to subordinates in line with the Vision and Mission of Namdock.

Proposals Management

• Negotiate pricing and deliverables and recommend for approval to the Executive Commercial and Marketing if required.

Customer Management

• Manage customer relationship keep contact, personal meetings, team meetings, to interpret customer need and revert with solutions to the satisfaction of the customer.

Finance and Contract Management

• Administer Contract administration drafting, negotiation, finalization, execution of contract with the client. Direct contact with customers.
• Implement sales contracts and oversee Service Level Agreement Compliance.

Admin Management

• Develop, implement, and update procedures and policies for the various functions of the different divisions in the Commercial Department.

Staff and Performance Management

• Accountable to the Executive Commercial and Marketing regarding the overall performance of the Proposals and Performance Section.

Budget Management

• Compile and motivate the annual Sectional budget and submit it for approval to the Executive Commercial and Marketing.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Grade 12 with Nat Dip NQF6 OR B. Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent NQF7
• B. Quantity Surveying or engineering related field NQF added adv
• 8 years rel Exp in ship repair / construction / mining / industrial Eng estimations or tendering environment of which 5 years should have been in a superintendent management level
• If Nat Dip candidate is recruited, 2 years additional Exp is required
• Valid Code B drivers license.
