VACANCY: Local Content Coordinator

Key objectives of the role

  • Ensure compliance with local content regulations and policies within procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize local supplier engagement and participation.
  • Monitor and report on local content performance metrics and progress.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote local content initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to procurement teams on local content requirements.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for local suppliers to enhance capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for local supplier development and capacity building.
  • Coordinate with government and regulatory bodies to align local content efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in local content processes and practices.
  • Ensure alignment of local content objectives with the company's strategic goals.
  • Support the integration of local content considerations into procurement planning and decision-making.

Procurement delivery and contract management

  • Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the development of capacity-building programs and initiatives to enhance local businesses and local workforce skills and capabilities (to meet industry standards and requirements).
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders (external consultants and industry associations) to stay updated on local content trends and regulatory changes.
  • Communicate, provide guidance and support internal stakeholders on local content regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on local content performance metrics and progress (from Contractors and the Affiliate) to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for local suppliers to improve capabilities.
  • Support procurement teams in integrating local content requirements into sourcing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing local content in procurement activities.

Compliance, ethics and governance

  • Promote and ensure compliance with ethics rules, conflict-of-interest requirements and the subsidiary's Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual policies and applicable laws/regulations, with a strong focus on ethics and transparency.

H3SE responsibilities

  • Comply with the subsidiary's H3SE framework and professional recommendations applicable to the role.
  • Implement appropriate precautions to prevent hazards, and report any identified risks or incidents without delay.

Qualification and Experience requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (business school or equivalent).
  • Experience: 8 years in local content and/or contract & procurement with 3 years managing local content topics.
  • Languages: Professional proficiency in English.
  • Strong professionalism, rigor and integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills, structured approach, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
