SAP MDG Consultant ( REMOTE)

We are seeking an experienced Technical SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to join one of our Pharmaceutical clients to design, build, and maintain SAP MDG solutions that support our enterprise-wide data governance strategy.

Location - Remote

Previous experience working with Pharmaceutical clients is must.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Development

• Design, configure, and develop SAP MDG solutions for key domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, Custom Objects).
• Develop and enhance MDG Data Models, UI Models, Governance Processes, BRF+ rules, and Workflow configurations.
• Implement and optimize Data Replication Framework (DRF) and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Build and maintain BAdIs, Web Dynpro enhancements, Fiori apps, and other MDG-related extensions.
• Develop custom validations, derivations, and enrichment logic using ABAP.

Integration & Architecture

• Work with integration teams on MDG-to-S/4HANA, ECC, middleware (PI/PO/CPI), and external system interfaces.
• Support MDG consolidation, central governance, and mass processing frameworks.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture and system landscape.

Support & Testing

• Provide Level 3 support for MDG-related incidents and enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
• Analyze and resolve performance, replication, and workflow issues.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with functional MDG consultants, data governance teams, and business stakeholders.
• Produce complete technical documentation, including designs, configuration specs, and test scripts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG experience in a technical or techno-functional role.
• Strong ABAP development skills, especially for:
  • BAdIs
  • OData Services
  • Workflows
  • Web Dynpro enhancements
• Solid understanding of master data structures in SAP (Material, Business Partner, Finance, etc.).
• Experience with BRF+ and MDG rule-based workflows.
• Familiarity with SAP MDG architecture, data models, floorplans, and UI configuration.

Preferred

• Experience with MDG on S/4HANA, Fiori-based MDG applications, and MDG Consolidation.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP CPI, or cloud integration patterns.
• Experience with domain-specific data governance frameworks.
• SAP MDG certification is a plus.
