What You'll Do

As a Post-Clerkship Attorney, you will:

  • Contribute to complex litigation matters from day one, including high-stakes trials, appellate proceedings, and class action defense.

  • Draft and review motions, briefs, and pleadings that demand precision and persuasive legal writing.

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys in case strategy development, trial preparation, and appeals work.

  • Handle client interactions with professionalism, discretion, and strong attention to detail.

  • Engage in pro bono work (up to 50 hours counted toward billable requirements) while gaining broad exposure to diverse matters.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • Judicial clerkship experience (state or federal).

  • Excellent academic credentials from a respected law school (required).

  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused practice environment.

Compensation & Billable Expectations

  • Salary aligned to year of law school graduation and market location.

  • Billable expectation: 1,950 hours annually (including 50 pro bono hours).

  • Additional 200 productive hours required (client development, firm activities, training).

  • Bonus opportunities:

    • 2,050 hours = 5% of base salary

    • 2,150 hours = 10% of base salary

Interview Process

  • Round 1: Conversation with a practice group leader.

  • Round 2: In-person interview (1.5 2 hours) with firm leadership and team members.
