About the Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is actively seeking five licensed and compassionate Mental Health Therapists to join a behavioral health care team working within a secure correctional setting in California City. This role is ideal for seasoned clinicians who are motivated to deliver high-impact therapy to one of the most underserved and overlooked populations in our healthcare system.
In this position, you will provide frontline mental health care to incarcerated individuals through trauma-informed assessments, ongoing therapy, and crisis stabilization. You'll have the opportunity to work with a highly structured team that values integrity, dignity, and long-term rehabilitation.
Your Role at a Glance
As a Mental Health Therapist in this setting, you will be more than a provider you will be a trusted ally in your clients' journeys toward emotional and psychological resilience. With a clear and consistent caseload, you will focus on delivering care that supports both acute needs and long-term wellness.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Conducting in-depth mental health evaluations using both clinical interviews and records review

Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans to meet evolving patient needs

Providing individual therapy using cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, and strength-based models

Responding to psychiatric emergencies and engaging in de-escalation and crisis intervention

Documenting care plans, progress notes, and assessments according to facility and legal standards

Participating in case review meetings, collaborating with on-site medical and custody staff to coordinate care

Supporting suicide prevention and self-harm reduction protocols through proactive intervention

Required Credentials & Experience:

Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health field

Current and active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC (out-of-state licensure not accepted unless already endorsed in CA)

Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 2 years in forensic, correctional, inpatient, or crisis settings preferred

Deep understanding of trauma-informed practices, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions

Strong documentation and EMR navigation skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with limited resources
