Location: Hybrid – Washington, D.C.
Compensation: $165,000 – $210,000 base salary
Additional Compensation: Full benefits package + annual bonus

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is representing a premier global law firm seeking an accomplished Senior Manager, Business Development to support a high-profile Investigations and White-Collar Defense (IWCD) practice.
This role is strategic, visible, and deeply embedded with firm leadership. The Senior Manager will partner directly with practice leaders to elevate market presence, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth across complex, high-stakes litigation and investigations matters. Success in this role requires sound judgment, confidence operating with senior stakeholders, and the ability to translate practice strengths into compelling market positioning.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be evaluated for interview consideration based on demonstrated success performing the following responsibilities:

Design and execute comprehensive business development and marketing strategies for a litigation-focused practice, with emphasis on investigations and white-collar defense

Partner closely with firm leadership, practice group partners, and business development colleagues to advance strategic priorities

Support key client development efforts by tracking market activity, monitoring legal and regulatory trends, and analyzing competitive intelligence

Lead the creation of high-quality pitches, proposals, and RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment

Collaborate with global business development teams to identify and pursue cross-selling and expansion opportunities

Develop and maintain practice-facing marketing assets, including practice descriptions, experience lists, website content, and credentials materials

Manage sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and external initiatives, ensuring measurable return on investment

Coordinate and prepare submissions for legal rankings, awards, and industry recognition

Plan and oversee client-facing events, seminars, and conferences in support of relationship development

Work closely with marketing and communications teams on media, thought leadership, and digital initiatives

Contribute to department-wide improvements in business development processes, tools, and best practices
Only candidates with meaningful, hands-on experience supporting litigation practices will be considered.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.

Bachelor's degree with a focus on marketing, business, or law

10+ years of experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services environment

Direct experience supporting a Litigation practice (required)

5+ years of management experience within a law firm or comparable professional services organization

Strong understanding of law firm operations and the expectations of sophisticated corporate legal clients

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and editorial accuracy

Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
