Engineering Manager, Food Manufacturing, Tangerang

 Job Description:

The Engineering Manager applies engineering principles and techniques to manage the machinery and equipment aspects of food production processes. He/She designs and sets up production lines for new products, and to enhance the food production capability and capacity of the plant. He is responsible for keeping updated on the latest technology developments applicable to food production as well as maintaining a network of equipment vendors to service the organisation's technological needs.

 

The Engineering Manager is also responsible for production process control and ensuring the sustainability of the plant's equipment by planning production capacity, managing resources for equipment maintenance as well as making strategic decisions relating to equipment decommissioning and new installations.

 

He/She has a keen interest in high-speed production machinery, strong communication skills to lead a team to meet organisational objectives, and an analytical mind to ensure that all food production equipment-related issues are resolved appropriately and efficiently, while complying with food safety and health and safety requirements. He/She must have relevant skills and experience with Siemens S7/Rockwell Logixx PLCs and HMI, automation programming software Siemens Simatic S7 and WinCC, Rockwell Connected components.


Job Responsibilities:


He/She is expected to have excellent language skills, with a good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English. Chinese language skills would be valuable given that the majority of vendors are from China.


He/She is expected to be familiar with manufacturing plant facilities, including but not limited to, compressed air systems, electrical distribution and protection systems, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, water treatment and distribution systems.
