Plant Procurement Manager

Job Summary

As a Plant Procurement Manager, you are responsible to lead, develop and operationalize the productivity plan for all categories at plant level

Aligned with the Corporate Strategy, you are in charge to implement the best terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve on a sustainable basis, the targets allocated to the team and the Purchasing Department (Yearly Productivities, Suppliers Quality & Deliveries performances)


Job Mission

  • Responsible to build a detailed plan, to create the financial forecast and achievement of results.
  • Lead and manage the productivity operation for the plant, in collaboration with all other departments, and regional/global teams
  • Formulate cross functional levers for Supplier performance, innovation, performance improvement and sustainable growth with key stakeholder validation. Drives productivity projects such as QVE, COS/Rebalancing and so on so forth
  • Assess and manage the supplier base to ensure flawless sourcing in terms of quality, supply chain, financial risk and contractual discipline. Deliver on all operational and strategic KPI.
  • Assess and manage multiple risk factors along the supply chain, e.g. currency risks, supplier risks including Tier 2/3, regulatory risks, etc.
  • Support & align development and execution of categories strategy. Support Global negotiation. Work across the regional leadership teams to support their requirements within the global context.
  • Maintain and track performance dashboard; accountable for BATAM SENSOR productivity performance
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a strong team and drive succession planning for key role.


General Requirements

  • English: Full Professional Proficient
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • 5 + years of proven experience as procurement manager or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management
  • Capable to lead multi-country, complex negotiations
  • Capable to lead complex contract negotiation
  • Data analysis skills and financial aptitude
  • BSc/BA in business administration, engineering, or related field

Preferences

  • At least 8 years of managing Electronics parts procurement with commercial knowledge of price evolution and strong electronics suppliers relationship.
  • Good knowledge on electronics parts supply chain, safety stocking min / max per category of item, Lead time offers in market.
  • Electronics market / category working experience in any large electronics industrial companies or contract manufacturers (EMS).
  • Strong knowledge of buy analysis, should cost sheet cost methodology, Linear pricing expertise
  • Experience in working in a matrix environment across organizations and functions
  • Strong leadership and performance management skills to run plant critical / gating items
  • This position will be in Batam Plant
