Systems Analyst - Java Background
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the IT team to analyze, design, and deliver technology solutions for the securities, brokerage, and wealth management business.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to securities and brokerage operations; identify opportunities for process optimization and system improvements.
Perform gap analyses to compare current and target business processes and technology capabilities.
Prepare clear and detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with development managers and engineers to design, review, and validate technical solutions.
Participate in project planning and execution, track progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Support UAT activities to ensure requirements are met; deliver training and provide user support for new systems and enhancements.
Develop user guides, documentation, and other supporting materials as needed.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline; a Masters degree or relevant certification is an advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in the securities, banking, brokerage, or wealth management industry.
Hands-on development experience with Java and familiarity with one or more Java frameworks.
Strong understanding of securities trading, brokerage operations, funds, bonds, structured products, and relevant financial regulations.
Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
A team player who can work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
