Role & Responsibilities

Build the backbone of a next-generation exchange by designing and developing ultra-low-latency, high-throughput systems at massive scale.

Architect data pipelines end-to-end from extraction and transformation to ingestion and fan-outensuring every microsecond counts.

Drive performance excellence through intelligent test automation, profiling, cost optimization, and continual engineering refinement.

Develop a deep understanding of the exchanges business logic, market workflows, and regulatory performance requirements, shaping systems that power real markets.

Partner closely with global engineering, product, and business teams to deliver strategic, high-impact solutions that the entire organization depends on.

Champion clean code, robust architecture, and engineering best practices, guiding the team toward world-class technical standards.

Work cross-continent with a talented team across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the USA, contributing directly to the evolution of a global platform.
Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, ideally in fintech, trading, or high-performance platforms.

Deep mastery of Java for high-performance, low-latency systems, including zero-GC techniques, concurrency models, and tuning.

Practical experience with Chronicle Queue, Aeron, Kafka, or similar high-throughput middleware.

Strong command of computer science fundamentals, especially data structures and real-world systems design.

Opinionated and experienced with testing methodologies, engineering principles, and coding standards.

Comfortable with modern SDLC tooling and CI/CD workflows.

A proactive, ownership-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-moving, startup-style environment.
